We've been building websites since 2001, and prior to that were involved in creating advertising & collateral design. We have an attention to detail and bring a no-fuss approach to our projects by being professional and friendly.

Who We Are

Origin was started in 2006 by Derek Land, after working as a contract freelancer for other design firms. Derek worked with other agencies all over the world handling both design and development. Read more about him and how Origin started here.

Origin Design House is about effective, accessible visual design for the web, for identity and for print.
We believe that design is communication. We create the means by which you communicate with your customers, and the means by which they understand your company. The sweet spot is finding what your message is, what your goals are and what your customer needs, and providing an effective form of communication between the two of you. What We've Done

We've developed websites for the NFL, portals for New York State county tourism, and nationally-accredited sporting organizations — not to mention local businesses in our home area in the New York Finger Lakes region. Fluency

Ninety-nine-point-nine-nine-nine percent of all our coding is done by hand. We don’t rely on a point-&-click app that generates bloated code and results in a slow or inaccessible website.
